Melissa's OOAK Collectable Armature Felt Sloth Doll
The sloth is made using a combination of techniques, including hand sewing, machine stitch, needle felting and armature.
Both new and upcycled materials (Leonard St fabric offcuts) have gone into the making. The most prominent material used is felt.
The sloth doll has armature, meaning it can be posed. Even the sloths' claws have armature. The sloth can sit. If you want to stand her up, you could acquire a small/medium doll stand for her.
The sloth is 95% hand sewn. Notice the hand stitched detail on the sloth's body.
The sloths' clothing has been loosely inspired by actual Leonard St designs.
The sloth was originally part of an exhibit at a Leonard St boutique, in Fitzroy (Melbourne). Her sister sloth was sold, going to a happy home, and now I'd like to send this wonderful creature on her way.
The sloth is 30cm tall.
Note: Sloth is a collectible piece, and can withstand very gentle play.
